Danny has been a top-producing agent since starting his real estate career in 2019.  He was Rêve Rookie of the Year in 2020 and also nominated for the New Orleans Metro Association of Realtors “Rising Star” award.  He is certified both as a Historic House Specialist and a Real Estate Negotiation Expert.

 

Danny Akers is licensed in Louisiana and Mississippi, he specializes in New Orleans, Jefferson Parish, and the Gulf Coastal communities of Hancock and Harrison Counties.

 

Danny is committed to volunteering and giving back to the community.  Danny volunteers with Project Lazarus and also is the current Chair of the Board of Directors.  He is a New Orleans Civic Leadership Academy graduate, a program where residents take an in-depth look at City Government.    

 

He lives with his husband Jerry Mixon in a historic home in Bayou St John with their Dachshund Pippin and Golden Retriever Coach.  Danny, Jerry and their business partner are currently in the process of opening a new restaurant in the French Quarter.  When Danny isn’t helping clients, he’s probably out socializing, enjoying the outdoors or working out

    Danny went above and beyond. We were buying out of state, so my husband made a special trip to New Orleans to look at homes. Danny had it all mapped out and created a schedule of the homes so that my husband could see as many as possible with that time they had. He picked my husband up from the airport, dropped him off, etc. during the time my husband was there looking at property. Danny also helped us navigate everything as first time home buyers and was very responsive to all of our questions and concerns. She arranged to have beautiful photos of the house taken for the listing, recommended cleaning services and other repairmen when needed and made sure that all the paperwork was in order.     Throughout the home buying process, Daina proved to be knowledgeable, wise, and perceptive. Daina worked with us through three offers and two contracts. Each step of the way we knew she had our interests at heart. The one purchase fell through for reasons far beyond her control, although she was very skillful in addressing the Seller and guiding us. Daina was fantastic providing select listings for us to preview. Because we were working from out of state, Daina was exceptionally prompt in communications: phone, text, email. She also worked very well with our daughter who lives in the area. Daina also recommended skillful professional people in the areas of: house inspection, insurance, title company, electrician, sewer inspection (using video!) and insect inspection as precautionary investigations.     Clint was amazing - being first time homebuyers we were concerned that he might get frustrated with how many houses we wanted to see or how many times we called/emailed him. Not once did he express any level of impatience or misunderstanding. He is very professional, very patient and incredibly responsive. I never felt that he pushed us any way, but at the same time gave his opinion when I genuinely wanted it. He is incredibly knowledgeable about New Orleans and what's happening. We were moving from Brooklyn and he was very understanding of our minimal knowledge of areas and the risk/reward house we were looking for. I would DEFINITELY use him for our next purchase and highly recommend him to anyone.

    Clint did a great job on honing in on what we were looking for quickly. He showed us the property we ended purchasing on the first day and really went above and beyond to help us through the closing since we were out of town residents. I love the Dotloop technology he introduced to us - no more faxing! Just sign online. What a time saver, especially since I was traveling extensively during the purchasing process. He was also able to get all of the fixes we needed from the inspection taken care of by the owners without more money out of our pocket. He also managed the entire closing for us since I could not be there due to work conflicts.

    Since we've closed he's helped us figure out where to shop and connected us with local services. This could not have been easier. I highly recommend Clint for his professionalism and knowledge of the New Orleans area.

    I listed my short sale with Clint LaCour in September 2010.Clint was able to bring 6 contracts forward between that time and November 4, 2011. The negotiations with the two mortgage companies were very complex, but Clint was able to assist in bringing forward a contract that the bank finally accepted and we closed on the property.

    I began looking for a home in New Orleans in June.

    Clint was recommended by a business associate in Baton Rouge. I emailed him and his response was immediate. He quickly had a list of about 35 properties that matched the criteria we agreed on. He showed the most promising to my daughter and narrowed them down to five within a week.

    I went to New Orleans to look at the properties. A couple were promising but one was already under contract. We expanded the search and wiothin a day were looking at another which we put an offer on.

    Clint had the market peggeed perfectly and was able to negotiate a great price on a great property.

    His recommendations for inspectors, mortagage companies, etc. were perfect.

    I could not have asked for a better experience with a realtor. I highly recommend Clint if you are looking for a home in New Orleans

    Cllint helped me find my dream home! I had to find a house quickly, and I needed an agent who could work with my deadline, who knew the area and the market, and who could close the deal. I found just the right person in Clint. Clint was willing to show me whatever I wanted to see, and as many homes as I wanted to see without pressure.
